Description

Really wanted to draw this guy.

OMG Stitch's expression reminds me of my boyfriend's face when I told him I wanna buy "Furby". He has never understood my strong adoration of cute plushies :(
Well, no matter.

Anyway, I've tried to watch a couple of series of anime "Sutitchi!" (or so) recently, 'cause my acquaintance recommended me it. She believes that this is a worth sequel to the original franchise, but... well, NO.

Broken family, reeducation of evil alien - a complete copy of the plot. A lot of flaws, mistakes and details which don't have any sense.

Ideas for many series are copied from "Lilo & Stitch's Island of Adventures", which makes them so damn boring. Stitch is shown too stupid and always hungry, Angel is a real b**ch, who doesn't love Stitch at all. Seriously, she behaves herself like a real wh*re, calling her "boojiboo" the first who brings her a lot of flowers, diamonds etc.

Penny and Jessica are Myrtle's clones. They both have some friends who are tyrannized by them. And they both hate Yuna because... Because of what? While Myrtle and other girls thoungt Lilo was strange (and well, they were right to some extent), Penny and Jessica don't have any obvious reason to hate Yuna. She is just an ordinary girl.

Jumba and Pleakley play roles of almost background... They appear (accidentally almost every time!) only when Stitch and Yuna are in a hopeless situation. It usually takes them... well not even them but just Jumba, because Pleakley does completely nothing... so, it usually takes Jumba 1-2 minutes to save everybody and then he and Pleakley continue to go about their business.

Stitch's cousins somehow appear in Japan(!), even though they have their true places in Hawaii. And you know how Jumpa explains their desire to visit Japan? "They are just drawn to each other". Genious. But Lilo have found true places for some of them in other countries and even on another planet, so why didn't they want to return back before?

Why do Gantu and Reuben work on Hamsterviel again? How did Hamsterviel manage to escape from prison? Why is Stitch evil again (he was made good by Lilo 1000 years ago)? Why does he want to be almighty, if he already has such a great power? How can little girl teach karate?

And the most important question: Why does Lilo and her daughter are as like as two drops of water?! It's ridiculous.

Also, I've paid attention to abundance of Japanese spirits in the series (like Kijimuna and other similar creatures). I can't see them having any sense. To my mind, Japanese mythology's magical spirits aren't combined with aliens, blasters and spaceships. What's the aim of including them in this anime? Abortive attempt of cultural education? LOL. Children just watch Stitch bouncing and eating everything he sees.

I have much more questions, but I'm too lazy to list them all. What I really wanna say is that I don't percieve "Stitch!" to be a sequel at all. As it was said by one of this anime critics, I prefer imagening that all that nonsense which is shown in it, is happening in the parallel universe.

And the saddest thing is that sense of "Ohana" is lost, even though this word is repeated almost in all episodes.

Yep... I regret wasting time on watching this "masterpiece", I could bake some pancakes instead. Why pancakes? I dunno, at least I could spend my time profitably. I know that tens of people have already mentioned everything which is written above, but I just CAN'T silent about it! I've never considered myself a hater, but now I have a goddamn thing to dislike with all my soul - thanks to "Madhouse" (Wikipedia told me the name of the studio). Right, it's a complete mad house.

So! That's why I had so strong desire to draw Stitch after watching this... anime adaptation. I believe that nobody can replace my beloved original Disney's Stitch.

P.S.: Comments are disabled, 'cause I don't want anybody to try to convince me that this anime is a good thing. It's not. :finger:
